Are you concerned that the Wolford College Nurse Anesthesia Program won’t give you the specific experiences or training you need to be a successful CRNA? Learn what standards CRNA Programs must meet in order to be accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia (COA).
This CRNA program (as well as all others that are accredited by the COA) prepares you to take the CCNA certification exam at the conclusion of the program, allowing you to become a CRNA.
To receive a Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice degree, students must earn 90 graduate semester credit hours including didactic courses (63 credit hours), DNAP capstone courses (12 credit hours), and clinical practice courses (15 credit hours). Courses in the DNAP: Entry into Practice program are 16 weeks in length and scheduled two to five courses concurrently.

CRNA Program Requirements
BSN
Or a BS/BA in a related science.
RN:
Current RN license in the U.S. You will need a Florida RN license before you begin clinicals.
Critical Care:
Minimum of one year experience as an RN in a critical care area.
Preferred ICU experience includes:
- ICU (Intensive Care Unit)
- CCU (Coronary Care Unit)
- Trauma ICU
- Neuro ICU
- CVRU (CardioVascular Recovery Unit)
Other experiences will be considered on an individual basis. Experience should be no more than two years old.
GPA:
3.0 or better is preferred. If there is additional space in the program, you may be accepted with a GPA less than a 3.0, assuming you have met all the other requirements.
Minimum GRE scores:
Must be taken within 5 years of application. Combined score of 297 is preferred. The analytical section must be reported with a score of 3.5 preferred. You do not need to take/retake the GRE if you already have a Master’s degree. However, this must be reported if available.
TOELF:
Test of English as a Foreign Language score of 550 (paper-based test) or 213 (computer-based test) may be required if English is not your native tongue.

- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- CCRN (required for re-application)
Course Prerequisites
- Statistics
- Undergraduate Health Assessment course
- Two different chemistry courses (any type of chemistry as long as one course has a lab.)
- Two anatomy and physiology courses.
