CRNA Training
The Entry-To-Practice DNAP program is a 93 credit-hour, 9-semester, full time program that provides six Clinical Practicum courses which stress the application of relevant science and research to anesthesia practice while engaging in direct patient care.
During the Clinical Practicum coursework, students may plan for and administer all types of accepted general and regional anesthesia techniques to a variety of patients ranging in medical and surgical settings. You will build a professional portfolio which will include written case studies of clinical experiences that have significance for nurse anesthesia practice.
CRNA Program Requirements
Required Bachelor Degree:
Baccalaureate degree in nursing or related science is acceptable.
-No undergraduate prerequisite courses are compulsory to apply.
RN License:
Current, unencumbered RN license in the U.S. or eligible to obtain in Virginia.
Critical Care:
A minimum of one year work as a registered nurse in a critical care (ICU) setting (adult ICU preferred).
GPA:
Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
For the most recent cohort of admitted entry to practice students, the average GPA was 3.7
GRE score:
The average total GRE score for the most recent cohort was 307.
The GRE must be taken within 5 years of application, no later than March 1st of the year.
