CRNA Program Requirements

BSN

BSN from a regionally accredited institution.

RN:
Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse, out of state applicants will need to obtain their Florida RN license upon admission to the program.

Critical Care:
A minimum of two years experience as an RN in an acute care setting (several years ICU experience is most preferred and competitive).

GPA:
3.0 from undergraduate nursing major (last 60+ hours)

Minimum GRE scores:

The GRE is required for all DNP-CRNA applicants.
300/3.5 (153 verbal, 144 quantitative, 3.5 essay), and must be taken within the last 5 years.

Certifications:

  • CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) prior to enrollment
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) prior to enrollment
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) prior to graduation

Course Prerequisites

Successful completion of the following with a grade of “B” or better in each

  • Research
  • Statistics
  • Health Assessment
