CRNA Program Summary
Are you concerned that the OHSU Nursing Anesthesia Program won’t give you the specific experiences or training you need to be a successful CRNA? Learn what standards CRNA Programs must meet in order to be accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia (COA).
This CRNA program (as well as all others that are accredited by the COA) prepares you to take the CCNA certification exam at the conclusion of the program, allowing you to become a CRNA.
The CRNA Program at Oregon Health and Science University is 27 months full-time program. It is integrated, meaning that the class work will be mixed with clinical experience during the first year of the program (the first 12 months). During this time, you’ll work in the Center for Clinical Simulation lab once a week, giving you the chance to practice what you’ve learned in class.
You’ll spend the next 15 months in clinical rotations (with rotations in various locations). During this time, you’ll gain experience and diagnostic procedures.
When you’re finished with OHSU Nursing Anesthesia Program, you’ll be well prepared to pass the certification exam and begin your career as a CRNA.
