CRNA Program Requirements
Required Degree
BSN, MSN or Nurse Doctorate (ND) from an accredited school
RN:
Current licensure as a registered nurse, once accepted you will need PA, DE, and NJ licenses.
Critical Care:
A minimum of one year experience in a critical care setting (2 or more years preferred).
Jefferson School of Nursing’s CRNA program is most interested in a varied experience portfolio.

GPA:
Minimum GPA of 3.2 on a scale of 4.0. Applicants who have earned an undergraduate below a GPA of 3.2 required to present GRE test results.
Minimum GRE scores:
Applicants whose undergraduate GPA is below 3.2 must present competitive scores on the GRE.
Certifications:
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation)
Course Prerequisites:
- Introductory bachelor’s level course in elementary statistics (grade of B or above)
- Introductory BSN-level course in nursing research (grade of B or above)
- Introductory BSN-level course in physical assessment (grade B or above)
International Students:
All international students and U.S. permanent residents must demonstrate English language proficiency as one of the conditions for admission to Jefferson. Jefferson School of Nursing will accept any one of the following items to satisfy the proficiency requirement:
- Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with an overall score of at least 87 and individual section scores as follows: Writing – 21, Speaking – 23, Reading – 21 and Listening – 22.
- Baccalaureate degree or higher from an accredited U.S. college or university.
- State licensure in nursing
- Native English speaker from one of the following countries: Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa or the United Kingdom.
