CRNA Training
The DNP-CRNA Program at Hofstra University is 36 months, AGACNP full-time program that follows a blended curriculum with the aim of making skilled nurse-anesthetists. From the first semester through the end of the program, students will practice in the operating room.
Students will rotate to different clinical sites in Long Island, Staten Island, Manhattan, and Westchester to gain experience with a variety of specialized surgeries.

Required Bachelor Degree:
You are required to have a BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) accredited by a regionally/nationally accredited college.
RN:
Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license eligible to work in New York.
Critical Care:
Full-time experience of two years in a critical care setting (Adult ICU/PICU)is required.
Shadow:
Mandatory to have the shadow experience with a CRNA.
GPA:
A Grade Point Average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale is required.
English Language Proficiency:
550 on PBT, 213 on CBT, or 80 on iBT is required on the TOEFL for international applicants.

- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- CCRN (Certified Critical Care Nurse) – mandatory
