BSN
BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program in nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
RN:
Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse with eligibility for Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Missouri.
Critical Care:
A minimum of one year’s recent (within 2 years preferred) full-time critical care experience or the part-time equivalent with Employment Verification.
Preference is given to applicants with high acuity critical care experience where hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, and vasoactive drug administration is routinely managed.
Preference is given to applicants with experience in shared governance leadership.
Which critical care units are accepted? Critical care units may be considered if the applicant has a working knowledge of mechanical ventilation, and invasive hemodynamic monitors (e.g., pulmonary artery, central venous pressure, and arterial catheters), and is proficient in vasopressor titration.
They do not accept the following settings:
- Emergency Room
- Post-Anesthesia Care Unit
- Operating Room
- Obstetrical – Labor & Delivery Unit
GPA:
3.25 from undergraduate nursing major (last 60+ hours).
Minimum GRE scores:
GRE must be taken within the last 5 years. A combined verbal and quantitative reasoning score of 300 will make you more competitive.
English Proficiency Requirements:
All foreign-born students must take one of the following tests:
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a score of 83 on the preferred internet- based test (iBT), 570 on the paper-based test, or 213 on the computer-based test.
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a score of at least 6.5 and a spoken band score of 7.Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) with a score of 56.
