Students completing the Nurse Anesthesia program in Tupelo spend the first three months on the UTC campus. Students attend the remaining courses using distance learning technology while making their clinical rotations at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

CRNA Program Requirements
Required Bachelor Degree Bachelor degree in nursing from a NLNAC (National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission) or CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) accredited program
RN Current registered nurse license in Tennessee or eligibility for Tennessee licensure
Critical Care At least two years of critical care nursing experience within the last three years is required.

It was given the maximum of 10 years accreditation and will be reviewed again 05/2012. This shows that the program is in full compliance with the COA’s accreditation standards.

Can students work during the program? Students are strongly discouraged from working while enrolled in the nurse anesthesia program. The minimum time per week in the classroom/clinic is 40 - 50 hours which makes it a full time endeavor.
How soon after I apply to the program will I hear if I've been accepted? Successful candidates receive notification approximately four weeks after their interview. You must provide written acceptance of the offer. A $1,000 non-refundable matriculation fee is required to secure your position in the program and will be applied to your first year expenses.
Can I apply to both the Chattanooga and Tupelo locations at the same time? No. You must choose one or the other.
