CRNA Program Summary

Are you concerned that Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing’s Nurse Anesthesia Program won’t give you the specific experiences or training you need to be a successful CRNA? This CRNA program (as well as all others that are accredited by the COA) prepares you to take the CCNA certification exam at the conclusion of the program, allowing you to become a CRNA.

Clinical courses for MSN nurse anesthesia students at FPB provide them with the opportunity to give direct patient care, participate in staff education programs, and identify clinical topics for research.

Students work one-on-one with a clinical preceptor with expertise in nurse anesthesia. They will also take part in administering general and regional anesthesia in persons of all ages. Students will gain extensive experience with:

  • Emergency operations
  • Obstetrics
  • Pediatrics and
  • Neurosurgery

As these are integral components of the clinical practicum.

Required Bachelor Degree

All applicants must have at least one to two years of any critical care experience in any ICU in addition to their CCRN certification.

MAT: 400/45 or the GRE: 500/153 Verbal; 500/144 Quantitative; 3.0 A. Writ

International Students:
TOEFL test (English proficiency test for international students only)

  • PALS (beginning of classes)
