Re: Living Expenses NEW
This is waaay too complicated of a question to answer easily, as it has too many components to it. But let me try and give a few pointers.
First off, housing: This can range anywhere from 500/month – 3k a month depending on where it is, how big it is and how nice it is. What are you okay living with? Will you have a roommate to help offset costs? The easiest way I have found to figure out some realistic housing prices is to go to craigslist and look. DFW area? 500 for a 1 bedroom. Manhattan? 1700. Brooklyn? 1300. New Haven, CT? 800. So yeah, that is the largest and probably most out of your control part of your living expense.
Everything else is basically up to you. How much do you eat out? What is your average grocery bill a month? WIll you need a car? How much is public transit in the area? What are the utility costs of where you choose to live? Obviously, stuff in San Fran is going to be more expensive than in Oklahoma, so you should factor that in as well.
I would suggest working out your monthly budget now and basing your budget for CRNA school off of that, after factoring in where you will be living and the Cost of Living there.
