The DNP, Nurse Anesthesia Program will give you additional knowledge and skills in leadership, education, and application of best evidence to practice. The DNP program is a front-loaded program with simulation and clinical experiences starting during the second year.

Program Requirements
CRNA Program Requirements
BSN:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program.
RN:
Current RN license or eligibility to practice as a Registered Nurse in Indiana.
Critical Care:
A minimum of one year of current full-time critical care, but 2 years is preferred. Preferred critical care units include surgical intensive care, cardiovascular intensive care, neurovascular intensive care, medical intensive care, pediatric intensive care, and neonatal intensive care.
They will consider the following on an individual basis:
- Operating room
- PACU
- Emergency Department
Those with experience in the areas listed above must demonstrate confidence in managing unstable patients, invasive monitoring, ventilators, and critical care pharmacology.
GPA:
Cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.2 overall and a science GPA of 3.0 or higher.
If you fail to meet the minimum GPA, you must submit GRE scores with your application and admissions will be considered on a case by case basis.
Courses:
Applicant must have completed two courses in chemistry with a grade of “B” or better.
Applicant must have completed one course in statistics within the last 5 years with a grade of “B” or better
Minimum GRE scores:
Only required for applicants with an undergraduate GPA below a 3.2.
TOEFL and TWE Scores:
Minimum scores of 100 Internet-based total or 250 computer based total for the TOEFL and a score of 5.0 on the Test of Written English.
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Req
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Req
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Req
- CCRN (strongly preferred but not required)
Additional Requirements:
- An essay, not to exceed three pages, discussing your career goals.
- Three professional letters of recommendation.
- Current resume or curriculum vitae, detailing professional positions and accomplishments.
