Most people reading this here are probably adults or college students. But as a junior in high school, deciding what I had planned for my college major was just crushed. Giving that most people in this economy can’t even afford college at the moment why would they raise the standards in a profession that’s been solid for 150 years? I’m almost positive that the people in my generation who wanted to be a CRNA, NP, CNM, or CNS will now have to take a huge right angle into another career choice.
Maybe it seems like I’m whining but also think about how many people will actually continue school for their DNP? Doing this in my eyes seems to be only giving more money to colleges and a loss of jobs. Becoming a nurse anesthesiologist was my dream and now i don’t have one because apparently that doesn’t seem to exist anymore.
