I put in 4 years for my BSN, Critical care experience 5 years, CRNA school 2.5 years, then with doctoral will be another 2 years
13.5 years 🙁
with medical school it would be 4 years for a degree in college, 4 years of medical school and 4 years (including the transitional year) of residency
That’s 12 years 🙁
Remember neither one is a walk in the park!
I agree education doesn’t always make some clinically smart. They can be book smart yet dumb when it comes to common sense, that goes for anything: a medical doctor, a nurse or even a PhD.
If medical doctors are the only doctors to be called doctors in the hospital then why are DOs called doctors in the hospital, is that like a step down of medical school, per MDs “they are not real doctors” MD will always criticize any profession except for there own. Same goes with CRNAs, since they hold the highest practice clinically in nursing they criticize every other practitioner profession. People will always be people, only want their names to shine and not others!
I read one post, something about a janitor with a PhD coming into a patient’s room and introducing themselves as a Dr. yadyaydaya..That is not a realistic view, because someone who has worked so hard to get their PhD will not work as a janitor.
I didn’t mean to offend anyone in way, shape or form so forgive me, I did!
