I have yet to have someone explain why CRNAs must stop school to work for the 3-5 yrs it takes to secure an ICU job to even qualify for most programs.
Doctors are not required to work as physicians before advancing to the next level of training.
What is the evidence-based rationale for on-the-job experience rather than providing clinical experience as part of CRNA training? (as required by most healthcare professions)
