How to Study Effectively and Get the Best Grades with the Least Amount of Effort
When my husband and I first met in college, I was struck at how he and I both maintained a high GPA and yet he spent so little time studying! Though we both knew how to study effectively, he spent far less time doing homework.
All
throughout nursing school when his classmates were agonizing over the
upcoming exam, he’d be home playing computer games or playing sports
with his buddies. When he would open his text books, I gazed in wonder
as he’d prepare for the most important test of the quarter in the span
of 2 or 3 hours while the rest of his class was up half the night poring
over the material!
I’ve always told him that if he were able
to write a book that explained how to study effectively, he’d probably
make a fortune! Though he hasn’t done that, I found someone who has.
The e-book called
How to Get the Best Grades with the Least Amount of Effort
written by Dr. Marc Dussault incorporates all the time-saving
techniques I’ve seen him use to get through nursing school as well as
many of the tools I’ve used to succeed in college.
When I
first purchased the e-book, I was concerned that I may find a
“one-size-fits-all” approach (and knowing how differently my husband and
I study, I knew that wouldn’t have worked). I was pleasantly surprised
to find a wide range of techniques, targeted for all different types of
learners.
Let me go ahead and tell you what’s in the course.
The
author, Dr. Marc Dussault, is an extremely accomplished professional.
As a student, he tackled and mastered at least 50% more in any given
semester than the average student.
He’s read over 500 personal development/study technique books and has distilled the most helpful tips and strategies into a conversational-style, 62 page ebook.
If you are an average student,
much of the content of this book will be new information to you, and as
he recommends, you’ll implement one new strategy at a time until you
have achieved the success you’re aiming for.
If you are an above average student,
chances are good that you are already using many of the techniques he
recommends to study effectively. In your case, it may be that only
20-30% of the content in the book is new information to you – but it’s
that 20-30% that will take you from the grades you’re getting now to
the grades you’ve always wanted, or will help you spend less time
achieving the grades you currently get.
While reading
through his e-book, I found one concept that completely revolutionalized
the way I view myself as a learner. It made me realize why I’ve always
aced the most challenging classes while struggling to maintain my grades
in some of the “easy” classes, and showed me what I can do to master every class.
A
lot of the techniques he prescribes involve focus. By focusing on a
clearly defined goal (after choosing that goal very wisely), you can
greatly reduce the amount of time it takes you to complete that task or
master that objective.
One of my favorite inclusions in the “Get the Best Grades with the Least Amount of Effort” package is his 5 minute video: ”5 Minutes to go from Panic to Passing Tomorrow’s Exam”. I was blown away by the vast amount of amazingly helpful tips he was able to pack into a simple 5 minute video.
If you are a procrastinator, this section of the package alone will boost your grades significantly!
While
he doesn’t advocate routine cramming as a way to study effectively, he
recognizes that every once in a while every student puts themselves into
a situation where they must cram if they want even a decent score on
their coming exam.
I was surprised at the amount of SIMPLE things a person can do to get a better grade on a test – things that don’t directly involve studying!
Even
the timing and order of how you study/cram the materials into your head
can make a dramatic difference in how much of the info you’re able to
recall during the test.
In the end, I feel very comfortable
recommending “How to Get the Best Grades with the Least Amount of
Effort” to anyone who either wants better grades or wants to study
effectively in less time.
Even if you’re already achieving a
high level of success, there’s always something you can do to either
become more effective or more efficient with studying – and if there is a
way, Dr. Dussault has found it!
Sincerely,
Joy

P.S. I just finished watching his Speed Learning Video! Wow. What a great value! Pay special attention to the bonus download called: “WHO and WHAT you are: HOW it affects your study habits”. That one document has forever changed how I view myself and how I approach new information.
You can find it on the order page. Just check option number two when you go to order.
