Saint Mary's University CRNA Program Review

by Pat, a graduate
(MN)

This was the worst school possible for any student. I would not recommend Saint Mary's University to any one.

The dean of the program was so bad to most of the students, unfriendly and likes to threaten the students. The clinical coordinator smelt like alcohol during the morning lectures. The A&P teacher's goal was to promote the Valley course. Look for other programs before even thinking about SMU.

Former Student
by: Anonymous

As a former student, my advice to any nurse is to please look for a better school. *** (name was omitted) was extremely unpleasant and unable to communicate well with the students.

Also, consider that about 25% of the students are out of program after the 1st year.

Great Program
by: Beau

I guess we all have different experiences at school, but I have nothing but good things to say about the SMU Nurse Anesthesia program. The program administrators were fair and worked with all of their students to make sure everyone was successful. They offer numerous clinical sites to offer students different perspectives on how unique anesthesia departments can be. From small town hospitals to large metropolitan medical centers, the SMU program offers a great learning environment to all students.
