LSU New Orleans CRNA Program Review




Great school! Program Director is very fair and pro-student. Professors excellent. Wide range and variety of clinical sites. Modern and nice facilities. Love the program! Go Tigers (and a national championship football team)~

In one word...HORRIBLE. I'm speaking from experience. The instructors have favorites, and you'd better watch out if you're not one of them. They single people out, and then they go after them! You've been warned!!

Tried LSU NOLA for a year and all I got out of it was over 40,000 in debt of student loans; they have a teach yourself attitude there. I consider myself above average student with high GPA, but this place wasn't what I expected. If you go there from out of state, you are in trouble all ready because they favor the locals. Plus, out of state tuition was more when I was there.

The staff that did try to give you help to get through the program were fired while I was there. All the other teachers tell you that you are creative to figure it out for yourself. Other schools I have talked with give you printed material and tell you "this is what you need to learn", but not LSU.

They also don't help you with housing at the other clinical sites; you will be one place every three months paying rent. A WORD to the wise is DON'T DO IT !!!! There are too many other good schools out there that one should not have to suffer through what I went through.

I just applied to LSUHSC CRNA school. Can anyone say anything positive about this school? What you all are saying goes completely against their philosophy on nursing (according to their web page).I'm so bummed to read all of this =( What else should I know about LSU?

The whole process ---very unprofessional. The instructors are gossipy. Uncaring and yes TOTAL favoritism. The instructors (not all but many) are abrasive.
