Hospital of St Raphael Review

I enjoyed reading your site, but it's not accurate when it comes to HSR.
I strive for accuracy on this site, but occasionally overlook or misinterpret information I read on program websites. I always appreciate it when I am corrected.
We are affiliated with the same university as New Britain and Memorial and therefore have the same tuition. You have us costing SO much more. We charge no tuition for the clinical practicum and the costs for tuition at CCSU are very reasonable. Please check again. www.ccsu.edu.
The tuition listed on ccsu.edu is "per term." I made the mistake of assuming that students were charged this tuition for all terms, rather than just during the didactic portion.
We are a strong school, small, and VERY reasonable. Our degree is in Biology/Anesthesia. Front loaded. We take only 18-20 students per year. Our boards pass rate is currently above the national average where it has been for many years.
This information has been incorporated into my site.
I have never sent in the US News ranking survey as it is done by program directors and therefore very subjective, Not sure how we even got a ranking!!
HSR was ranked by other program directors. A school does not need to participate in the ranking process to receive a ranking... and yes, these rankings are VERY subjective. I recommend that students don't make decisions about which school to attend based on these rankings.
We compete with no residency program for cases and our students get excellent experience primarily at the Hospital of St Raphael in New Haven, but we have 4 affiliation sites for enrichment (all in CT).
Just an FYI for you. Judy Thompson, CRNA,DNAP Program Director.

Thank you Judy! I really appreciate the feedback! It is my goal to present each school as accurately as possible. Your feedback has helped me reach that goal.
