Are you concerned that Goldfarb School of Nursing’s CRNA Program won’t give you the specific experiences or training you need to be a successful CRNA? Learn what standards CRNA Programs must meet in order to be accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia (COA).
This CRNA program (as well as all others that are accredited by the COA) prepares you to take the CCNA certification exam at the conclusion of the program, allowing you to become a CRNA.
Campus Goldfarb School of Nursing is located on the campus of Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis. In 2007, Barnes Jewish College’s brand new 105,000 sf building was complete. As a student here, you will enjoy their new state-of-the-art classrooms and lecture halls, as well as numerous other benefits of a modern building.
In preparation for your clinical experience, you will benefit from its Clinical Simulation Institute with six patient simulation labs and two exam rooms. These will provide high-tech, advanced nursing care experiences.
Curriculum Sequence The CRNA program is a hybrid of front-loaded vs. integrated. You’ll spend the first two terms (there are three terms per year) in the classroom. During terms three-four, you’ll begin your clinical experience three days a week, while taking a lighter class load.
During your fifth term, you’ll move to four clinical days a week, then finally five days a week for your last two terms.
Clinical Experience You’ll gain a wide range of clinical experience at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital, the adult and pediatric teaching hospitals for Washington University School of Medicine.
