I’ll be completely honest with you. The book is very well written and full of extremely helpful tips for the aspiring CRNA student, but it’s not for everyone.
If you are a 4.0 student, scoring a 1300 on the GRE and have 3+ years adult ICU experience in a large acuity, level one, trauma hospital, you could apply to any CRNA school you wanted and pretty much guarantee your acceptance. You’d probably get by just fine without this “How to” guide (even still, the book could save you a few hundred bucks, so it may be worth it for that reason).
No. This book wasn’t written for the super star.
It also wasn't written for the veteran searchers who have spent the last several years of their lives painstakingly combing through nursing forums and gleaning every bit of info they can. Much of what is written in this book can be found elsewhere if you spend enough time searching online - but if you're fairly new to this aspiration, "CRNA School Admissions" will save you countless hours of your time, and will give you all the information you need to be successful.
