NURSE ANESTHETIST SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS CRNA Program Requirements
BSN Or a baccalaureate degree in Health Related Sciences (e.g. Biology, Chemistry,Physics), obtained in the U.S.
RN: Current, unrestricted RN license. If accepted into the program, Florida RN license must be obtained by May of the year of class August start date.
Critical Care: A minimum of one year recent RN experience in an area of acute/critical care. Average experience of accepted students is 2.7 years (4 year average)
Minimum GPA: Cumulative 3.0. Average cumulative GPA of accepted students is 3.32 (3 year average). Average science/math GPA is 6.3 (2 year average)
Minimum GRE scores: Must be completed within 5 years of application. GRE scores of 1000 or greater (combined verbal and quantitative) preferred. An analytical writing score of 3.5 or greater is preferred. Accepted students have average combined GRE scores of 1001 and analytical scores of 3.875 (4 year average).
CCRN : Current Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification is highly encouraged.
Certifications: Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
